R.E.C.A.P. ( Reasonable Earnings Calculated Acceptable Point)

     Everybody has an opinion about how to create jobs. We continue to have a problem with ideology in a country that has withstood all and every attack on the constitution and this great Republic.
    My first point in this, rather in depth, opine is to set a few principles that just may prevent you from reading a lot things that you don't agree with.

• The U.S.A. is a Republic not a Democracy. Understand the difference and your life will be easier.
• Capitalism is our economy system. Capitalism is an economic system in which the means of production are privately owned and operated for profit, usually in competitive markets.
• Social Security was formed to do a honorable job and was set up to fund the job. But after political tampering over time and removing the funds for their accessibility, it has become a Ponzi scheme.

We are not:

1. Socialist: Socialism  is an economic system in which the means of production are either state owned or commonly owned and controlled cooperatively
2. Marxist (The Marxist-Leninists sought to work towards the workers' utopia in Marxist ideology by first creating a socialist state)  
3. Communist:   Communism is a sociopolitical movement that aims for a classless and stateless society structured upon common ownership of the means of production, free access to articles of consumption, and the end of wage labor and private property in the means of production and real estate

    Over the last two hundred thirty plus years we have had to make adjustments to the the revenue flow for the government to work. During the Astor, Rockefeller and Vanderbilt era we had no income taxes. While it built railroads and fueled the industrial revolution it did not help with raising revenue. So we TWEAKED.

   We have adjusted corporate and personal tax levels many times, so tweaking is not UN-capitalistic.

   But corporate wall street has taken advantage of the system by paying lobbyist to get exceptions and deductions from politicians while the CEO, officers and upper management pay has caused alarm and unveiled greed. The multiple of CEO pay to the average worker of a corporation has increased into the stratosphere.

   On the other hand we have the unions that are also funneling money via dues to politicians to advance their power and influence.

   Politicians : Do you see a trend here?

   If one will stop and think about the wasted money that actually ends up in politicians campaign chest or parts unknown one can readily see that this is not supporting capitalism. It is not helping the American economy. It is not helping with jobs. And we have not even looked at the tort system that is funneling money to a select few at the expense of us all..

So let's look at RECAP. and how this reform of the corporate tax structure would create more revenue and jobs.

• Reduce the corporate tax rate to 25% so that we are in line with other developed countries.
• Remove all the deductions that current and former politicians have inserted into the code for their corporate buddys.
• Cap the CEO, Officer and upper management total compensation, including stock options, to a multiple of 100* times the average employee compensation of his/her publicly traded company (R.E.C.A.P.) limit.
• Include in the employee compensation all health care cost, the company's portion of qualified 401 K contributions, sick pay, maternity leave pay, vacation pay and social security contributions.
• Any job held by an employee not located in the USA is counted as 5* jobs thus lowering the average compensation of all employees. Get those jobs back over here and you can increase your income Mr/Mrs.CEO.
• Include other incentives that either raise or lower the RECAP limit by doing the right thing like new start up employees count as 1/2 of a job which increases the RECAP.
• Require that union participation be completely voluntary.

Jobs would be at the forefront for companies to increase upper management compensation instead of bottom line profits which creates job lost by shipping them to the lowest labor rate overseas.
Unions would have less value as the company would look to provide benefits to increase RECAP.
In short

1. Use incentives with corporations for the end result that will benefit the country as a whole rather than the pockets of the greedy. Wall street will survive.
2. Remove the politician from the equation. At the ballot box if that's what it takes.
3. Lessen the strength of the union and also remove the incentive to feed the politician.

"Vacation for Dummies " $10 MILLION and its only August!

What do you say that we have a little fun with Moochelle and her ability to take vacations while she doesn't even have a job.

Normally, Americans must have a job and then work at that job for an extended amount of time before they are eligible to take a vacation.

Normally, Americans must pay for their own vacation and any expense associated with the trip including air fare, travel, hotels and food plus any entertainment.

But these are not normal times. We are being asked by the elite politicians, including Moochelle's husband, to tighten our belt and try to ride this recession out. Hoping also that we do not double dip.

We are also being asked to disregard any extravagant trips and vacations taken by the elite and say nothing nor do anything about their jet setting around the globe on our dime.

Moochelle has spent an estimated 10 million dollars through August on vacations for herself independent of BO. When do we say STOP. When do we call our Representative and say "If you wish to get your favor-ability rating over 10% then get your lazy butt to work and put a stop to this madness".

If she would just stay tucked away in the White House every American (309,000,000) could have saved .32 cents. That  is not a lot when you break it down that way but have you ever thought about how many times this goes on across the board. After all, If everyone pitched in 32 cents for my vacations I could have a real blow out vacation of all vacations. I could retire on the vacation. But how can I have a vacation when I don't have a job?

I have concluded that I must pick up her new book "Vacations for Dummies" and figure out how I can get 10 million for vacations without even being employed.

Bo said it best when he said "You can't beat the fringe benefits"  YES, WE ARE THE DUMMIES!

How's that Gun Control working for you?

   Today, I was reading the August issue of American Rifleman and came across an article on page 88 from their March 1969 issue.
   Intelligent people, which might include a couple inside the D.C. Beltway and a few Elites, can read history and learn something from it. So, lets see what we can learn about strict government gun control.
   To make it more interesting let us do it in a form of a test. The answers are at the bottom after more of my commentary and history lesson.

   1. This country's gun laws were almost perfect for anti-gun enthusiasts. The mere possession of an illegal firearm could send the violator to prison for life, without appeal. This country had the whole oppressive might of the world's largest police state.

Surprisingly the gun control laws in the U.S. have gained strength over this time period thanks to hardworking people dedicated to retain our 2nd amendment rights.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. What is broken, and history bears that out, is strict gun control laws. The phrase " if guns are outlawed only criminals will have guns" is used about as often as "kicking the can down the road". The sad fact is, both are correct.

Wednesday July 12, 2011 our fearless leaders showed us once again the stuff they smell, I mean are made of.

In the middle of a debt crisis, jobs nowhere and running out of money they got together to vote on a bill that would save the incandescent light bulb from dying on January 1, 2012. 

Guess what?  They could not even get that done. What a collection of losers.

 We need to note the ones that voted against this bill and work to get some politicians in office that listen and act for the people of this country and not to their favorite lobbyist that fills their coffers with funds. 

Lets Face it. If they can't get this done do we really think they can handle the big stuff?

We are left to pay more for dimmer lighting filled with mercury and seeing a friend or neighbor lose a job to China for WHAT.

The devil is beating his wife with a frying pan

   Southerners have many sayings for just about everything. I remember a nice warm June day in Alabama when it was raining and the sun was shinning. My grand mom told me that when that happens the devil is beating his wife with a frying pan.
  For over 50 years I remember her voice and words each time it rains while the sun is shinning. It has been both a blessing and a dilemma.
   You see I could never put a face on the devil's wife. I always had a pretty good imagination for what the devil looks like but for many decades the imagination would not allow the face of his wife to gel in my mind.
  That was until 2006 when a certain woman became the majority leader of the House of Representatives. All of a sudden it cleared the imagination's vapor lock and hit me like a ton of bricks. Nancy Pelosi's face is now embedded in my mind as the woman I see each time it rains while the sun is shinning. The imagination has gotten pretty graphic with the extent of the beatings by the pan and I sometimes catch myself hoping the rain doesn't stop. I will see someone about this soon. I know it's not healthy.
   I have no idea if you have had this problem or not. But I bet you will visualize her the next time the sun is shinning and it is raining at the same time. I bet you will think of the sun and rain when you see her in one of her never-ending interviews.
   We all were told about the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. But take a few minutes to view this video and see where the real pot of gold is being hidden.
   When your done with the video stay out of the kitchen where the frying pans are located. Beside, we all need more than frying pans, NOW.

Help me out here ! NBC has confused me again.

This weekend Rory McElroy displayed an amazing game of golf that placed him hip deep in the history book of golf.

Prior to the kick off of extended coverage of the U.S. Open, NBC opened the golf major event with a video piece meant to stir up patriotic emotions since the event was being played at Congressional Country Club. The piece featured great clips of schoolchildren reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. The problem? There was a glaring, completely unnecessary editing out of the phrase ‘under God’ and also ‘indivisible’ from the piece.

NBC does not confuse me with their liberal programming. I have learned to accept that this is the network for me to avoid unless one of these major sports events happens to be carried by that network.

NBC does not confuse me when they post a poll to see how many people believe in GOD.

NBC confuses me when they omit two words that so clearly slams people of Judeo Christian faith by Intentionally omitting GOD!!!!

NBC confuses me when they do not wish for us to remember the fundamentals passed down by generations. Indivisible is not a word that the progressives like so they will just omit it. How convenient. How arrogant. How petty.

When we accept things like this and do not let them know then we become a nation of liars. We become sheep redirected by the comissions and omissions of the so called "Elite"

NBC. I don't know where I am going but I damn sure know where I have been. I have been in a country, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. If the God lord is willing and enough people refuse to accept this type of action then perhaps I will remain in a country, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

"MELLIONS" Let us make a new word

   As a first blog let's start with a new word. MELLION. Why not? We are crushed with new words each day and acronyms that only embarrass you if they are uttered in groups that you are not familiar with. Do you have 4G ? My LED is 3D! Can you text with T9? You can only get the program if you have Roku. So we must continue to keep up with the alphabet or get lost in the letters.
   We are a country of 308,745,000 people according to the 2010 census. That's 308,745,000 ME's. With 308 million people we are assured of having some very different opinions and ideology.
   During 1950 when the golden age was blooming we also had some deferences but with only 152,271,000 people we clearly had fewer ME's than we have today.
   Throw in some habitants from other counties and cultures and you have a receipt for ideological chaos. But we are a country that allows for diversity. Always have-always will.
   What is disturbing more than the above is the social habits that we have fostered beginning with the boomers. These habits were then transferred to the next generation and then to the next until we have three plus generations of ME's.
   As the country continues to divide I feel that the lines of division is more with this group than any other part of society. Sure we have the liberals and we have the conservatives. We have the far extremes of each side. But have you thought about the fact that each person in each group is really out for "what's in it for ME?" And believe me there are MEllions on each side.
   Compromise is what we use to do. Can't we just get along is something from a Sunday school book from 1970. I only want what I want and I will not accept anything else. Typical MEllion thoughts!
   Understanding the mellion is not hard. He or she was drawned that way since the first baseball or soccer tryout or the first cheerleading squad. Everybody makes the team. This was only but one of the many habits creating the mellions. It continues in High school and in the workplace.
   Recognizing the mellion is not hard either. Listen and soon you will see that the maximum number of sentances between a me, myself or I is usually one.
   I do not write this without thinking that I myself am a mellion. I am a boomer that didn't start out with much but did well and picked up a few bad habits in the process. But do I intend on staying a mellion? Hell yes!  Oops strike that. I do want to temper my own desires so that this country can move forward. Temper is subjective and it is ok to associate temper with tolerance. But one thing that will flow from this and many posts is the danger or allowing tolerance when you know it is wrong. That is when it becomes complacient and that is when some other mellion must temper themself.
   When you have a million of something you have a mallion (don't tell Obama). When you have too many mellions you have chaos.

   In summary we should accept that many things will never be as they were. We will need to work out some differences. But it would be better for all if we draw a line somewhere and refuse to move that line. My line in the sand is rooted in my faith in GOD.  He has never let me down. He has never left me. He has been with me and for me all along. So don't think that I will temper that.
