Turn out the lights the Parties are over

Wednesday July 12, 2011 our fearless leaders showed us once again the stuff they smell, I mean are made of.

In the middle of a debt crisis, jobs nowhere and running out of money they got together to vote on a bill that would save the incandescent light bulb from dying on January 1, 2012.

Guess what?  They could not even get that done. What a collection of losers.

We need to note the ones that voted against this bill and work to get some politicians in office that listen and act for the people of this country and not to their favorite lobbyist that fills their coffers with funds.

Lets Face it. If they can't get this done do we really think they can handle the big stuff?

H.R.2417 : To repeal certain amendments to the Energy Policy and Conservation Act with respect to lighting energy efficiency, and for other purposes

July 12, 2011 Roll call number 563 in the House
Question On Motion to Suspend the Rules and Pass: H R 2417 Better Use of Light Bulbs Act

To repeal certain amendments to the Energy Policy and Conservation Act with respect to lighting energy efficiency, and for other purposes

Good bye light bulb: Good Bye American Jobs : Good bye Economy

Hello China Manufacturers:  Hello GE:  Hello big money in the Professional Politician’s pocket:  Hello Wimpy ,Greedy leaders

These Republicans Voted Against the bill which lets the incandescent light bulb die on January 1 2012 Remember them for what they are in your next voting chance. They need to be replaced with someone that will help bring jobs to America instead of killing the jobs and leaving us with mercury crap. I would see how much GE and the Green activist contributed to their campaigns

Republicans Voting 'Nay'

Rep. Charles Bass [R, NH-2]
Rep. Brian Bilbray [R, CA-50]
Rep. Scott Garrett [R, NJ-5]
Rep. Morgan Griffith [R, VA-9]
Rep. Richard Hanna [R, NY-24]
Rep. Tim Huelskamp [R, KS-1]
Rep. Tom Reed [R, NY-29]
Rep. Dave Reichert [R, WA-8]
Rep. Scott Rigell [R, VA-2]
Rep. Glenn Thompson [R, PA-5]

All other republicans voted Yes for the bill

These Democrats voted yes for the bill. They need to be thanked for their courage and leadership. Remember them next election

Democrats Voting 'Aye'

Rep. Dan Boren [D, OK-2]
Rep. Jerry Costello [D, IL-12]
Rep. Jim Matheson [D, UT-2]
Rep. Collin Peterson [D, MN-7]
Rep. Nick Rahall [D, WV-3]

All other Democrats voted  (183 ) No . It is time to really hit the streets and replace as many of these people as possible. They are not doing the right thing for the majority of this country. They are interested only in their self interests. Some checking will find big money and lobby connections to the alternative energy sector.

We are left to pay more for dimmer lighting filled with mercury and seeing a friend or neighbor lose a job to China for WHAT.

Oh, Hit that switch for me, will ya ?
